To Information about Bloomington's The Poplar Bridge Neighborhood of NW Bloomington is still a great place to live, with close proximity to freeways, services, natural amenities, and an award winning elementary school. Housing is generally well maintained, values remain fairly strong, and homes in the area still seem to sell faster than average. NW Bloomington is home to the
Normandale Lakes Development District, with its ever increasing density
of office towers that bring thousands of commuters into the area each
day. But NW Bloomington is also home (literally) to hundreds of
families, young and old, who have chosen live in Poplar Bridge
neighborhood. Yet for many longtime residents of this affordable and well kept neighborhood of 60's era ramblers and split entry homes, the quality of life seems to be waning. The issue is mostly cut-through neighborhood traffic -- hurried and frustrated commuters racing through our neighborhood streets seeking a faster way to get home to their own cities and neighborhoods. This web site seeks to provide news and information about traffic issues, developments, and other neighborhood issues in the Poplar Bridge neighborhood of NW Bloomington, and to promote citizen participation and neighborhood involvement to maintain and improve the quality of life in the Poplar Bridge neighborhood. It was developed to assist the organizational and communications efforts of residents in the area through updated news and links, email alerts, and other tools that help keep neighborhood residents informed and engaged. |
